Computes MD5 checksums

Digest Procedures

Any Scheme-object can be the SOURCE for a digest. See message-digest for more information.

md5-primitive

[procedure] (md5-primitive)

Returns the 128-bit checksum primitive object.

md5-digest ; DEPRECATED

[procedure] (md5-digest SOURCE)

Returns the 128-bit checksum of SOURCE as a hex string.

md5-binary-digest ; DEPRECATED

[procedure] (md5-binary-digest SOURCE)

Returns the 128-bit checksum of SOURCE as a string.

written by Colin Plumb in 1993, no copyright is claimed.
This code is in the public domain; do with it what you wish.
Equivalent code is available from RSA Data Security, Inc.
This code has been tested against that, and is equivalent,
except that you don't need to include two pages of legalese
with every copy.
