This is an egg for CHICKEN 3, the unsupported old release. You're almost certainly looking for the CHICKEN 4 version of this egg, if it exists.
If it does not exist, there may be equivalent functionality provided by another egg; have a look at the egg index. Otherwise, please consider porting this egg to the current version of CHICKEN.
This egg provides facilities for converting between prefixed symbols (such as 'dc:title) and absolute URI references (such as #<http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/title>). This is useful e.g. for working with XML documents and RDF triples.
(More documentation coming soon.)
Using URI namespaces in the interpreter
Loading uri-namespaces also loads the uri egg. Here's a brief usage example:
#;1> (use uri-namespaces uri-literals) #;2> (register-well-known-uri-namespaces!) #;3> (symbol->uri 'dc:title) #<http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/title> #;4> (uri->symbol #<http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/subject>) dc:subject
