simple-tests

This module exports some macros and two commands, which help to debug and to test scheme code. The commands simply pretty-print the results of expand and expand* respectively. The first macro, xpr:val, prints its expression arguments and their values with some decoration. It is intended to be inserted in the code, but it will be evaluated only in interpreted code. The other macros, simple-test and compound-test, simply evaluate their argument expressions and report if they succeed or fail, together with a summary.

The routines

pe

[procedure] (pe macro-code)

pretty-prints expanded macro-code.

pe*

[procedure] (pe* macro-code)

pretty-prints fully expanded macro-code.

run-tests

[syntax] (run-tests xpr ...)

runs each test expression, xpr, and prints success or failure as well as a summary. This macro is deprecated, use simple-test instead.

simple-test

[syntax] (simple-test (name) xpr ...)

runs each test expression, xpr, and prints success or failure as well as a summary, all prefixed with name.

compound-test

[syntax] (compound-test (name) simple-test-xpr ...)

runs each simple-test expression, simple-test-xpr, and prints the overall number of failures as well as a list of names of failing simple-test-xprs, prefixed with name.

xpr:val

[syntax] (xpr:val xpr ...)

prints each xpr and its value in interpreted code.

Requirements
