Description

A wrapper for pkg-config, a system for managing compiler and linker flags.

Author

Chris Brannon

Requirements

Documentation

This library is intended to be used at build time for fetching compiler and linker flags out of pkg-config.

pkg-config:cflags

[procedure] (pkg-config:cflags package)

Returns a list of compiler flags for package, or #f on failure. The list may be empty if no compiler flags are necessary.

pkg-config:libs

[procedure] (pkg-config:libs package #!key (static #f))

Returns a list of libraries and linker flags for package, or #f on failure. The list may be empty if no libraries or linker flags are necessary. If the static keyword argument is given and not false, then return options necessary for static linking.

Examples

Fetch the compiler and linker flags to build against libcurl:

(import pkg-config)

(define curl-cflags (pkg-config:cflags "libcurl"))
(define curl-libs (pkg-config:libs "libcurl"))
(define curl-static-libs (pkg-config:libs "libcurl" static: #t))
