== awful-postgresql toc: === Description Postgresql support for awful. This extension provides the enable-db and switch-to-postgresql-database procedures which add Postgresql support for awful, based on the features provided by the postgresql egg. === Author Mario Domenech Goulart === Repository https://github.com/mario-goulart/awful-postgresql === Requirements * awful * postgresql === Procedures ==== enable-db <procedure>(enable-db)</procedure> Enable Postgresql support for awful. This procedure basically sets up awful to use the connection, disconnection, query and query escaping procedures for Postgresql databases. ==== switch-to-postgresql-database <procedure>(switch-to-postgresql-database)</procedure> Resets all the awful db-related parameters to postgresql values (for when using multiple databases under the same awful server). === Parameters ==== db-result-processor This parameter yields a one-argument procedure (the argument is the object representing the results as returned by the postgresql bindings). The default value is: <enscript highlight=scheme> (lambda (result) (row-map identity result)) </enscript> This parameter has been added in version 0.5. === License Copyright (c) 2008-2018, Mario Domenech Goulart All rights reserved. Warning: this change may break your code! In case of an empty result set from a query, will now return instead of . This change can be specially harmful in case you have something like <enscript highlight=scheme> (or ($db "some query") "something") </enscript> In this example, if the query returns an empty result set, that expression would produce: * in older awful-postgresql versions: * in awful-postgresql versions with this change: ===== version 0.5.1 * Fix application of db-result-processor (patch by Hugo Arregui) ===== version 0.5 * Added db-result-processor parameter (patch by Hugo Arregui) * Deprecated sql-quoter parameter ===== version 0.4 * Added switch-to-postgresql-database procedure ===== version 0.3 * db-inquirer supports the values keyword parameter (patch by Stephen Eilert) ===== version 0.2 * fix for sql-quoter (reflects on awful's sql-quote) ===== version 0.1 * Initial release
